Having been closed since 19th March, the Jubilee Hall will re-open to a limited extent from Monday, 14th September. Guidance issued by ACRE (Action with Communities in Rural England, the body responsible for national advice to village halls) will be followed in full, thus ensuring compliance with more general Government guidance.

Initially the use of the building will be restricted to previous regular users, perhaps using a larger room. Hiring agreements will include an additional set of conditions designed to ensure safe operation during the ongoing pandemic. One booking will be permitted in the building on any given day. Only the larger rooms will be available for hire, the numbers of people permitted in each of these being greatly reduced from previous capacity. Hiring fees will remain unchanged even if a larger room is used. Some activities will not be allowed, for example, singing, the playing of wind instruments, parties. Contact details must be obtained from all those attending events in the hall.

Questions about bookings should initially be directed either to the Chair of Trustees (Pat Moloney, 01669 621673) or to the Invoicing Treasurer (Christine Abbs, 07392 240496). Bookings can then be made, as usual, via Fiona Foreman (01669 621311). Contact with the Trustees can also be made by sending an e-mail to
